Overview
Lightning Soccer Club selects and develops Boys and Girls 6-18 years old to play on five different commitment levels for "Traveling Teams": Little Travelers, Junior Travelers, Seasonal, Annual, and Senior levels. All Traveling teams except Little Travelers and Senior Boys will participate in our Club-hosted Gold Cup Tournament on Labor Day Weekend. All Travel Level players are selected to be Club members for the above Traveling teams by the Professional Coaching Staff at our annual club tryouts. Players are assigned to teams based on commitment and talent and monitored continually for accuracy of placement. The coaching staff will determine if a team change is ever necessary for a player’s optimal development while a member of the Club. It is Lightning’s strength and to the betterment of all Club members to have depth in a player’s environment that closely matches one’s own level. U12 and older teams have opportunities at various optional Special Events. See the Key below for details by year.
Special Events Planned for the 2006-2007 Season – NOTE: These events require additional fees for participants
- U12 Boys and Girls will be offered a President’s Day Trip out of State
- U13 Teams will be offered a USA CUP (domestic) Tour/Trip
- U14 Teams will be offered a Tour Abroad
- U15+ Specially Selected College Showcase Events will be presented
